There's no better place to celebrate Independence Day than in Washington, DC, the nation's capital.
However, 2020 hasn't been a usual year, so our celebrations won't be the same as usual. Due to the ongoing pandemic, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is encouraging everyone to celebrate the Fourth of July from their home to minimize the spread of the virus.
To help you celebrate from afar, many restaurants at The Wharf are offering takeout and delivery of red, white, and blue-themed meal kits and sweet treats. District Doughnut is featuring a special holiday doughnut, Officina has launched their Officina Picnic Kit, and Praline Bakery is offering themed sno-cones and cupcakes.
Although The Wharf is not putting on a firework display, you may find one of our restaurants' patios, rooftops, or waterfront cabanas to be a good place to view the National fireworks display, pending weather conditions. Reservations are required at all locations. If you are able to secure a reservation and choose to visit The Wharf, please remember to wear a face mask and practice physical distancing at all times.
Due to physical distancing requirements, if you are unable to secure a restaurant reservation, there will be limited opportunities to view the National fireworks display from the open spaces at The Wharf.
