Let’s get shucking! Wild oysters are always best in months ending in "r", so now that we're in season, we’ve put together a list of the best places to slurp them up at The Wharf:
🦪 Hank’s Oyster Bar – Order up a rotating variety of a ½ dozen oysters ($18) or shoot them down with an oyster shooter ($10).
🦪 Kaliwa – The Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant creates its own East Coast Oysters with Calamansi Mignonette ($18).
🦪 THE GRILL DC – Order up 6 or 12 oysters on the half shell with a smoky-tomato cocktail sauce and cucumber-champagne mignonette ($15/29).
🦪 Rappahannock Oyster Bar – Order from the raw bar and slurp down Rappahannock River Oysters, Rochambeau Oysters, or Olde Salt Oysters.
🦪 Jessie Taylor Seafood – The Municipal Fish Market vendor offers raw Chincoteague and Bay Oysters.
