The Wharf Announces Winners of the 32nd Annual Holiday Boat Parade & Party

A Southwest DC community tradition since 1992, the District's Holiday Boat Parade at The Wharf is an iconic DC event that features 70+ beautifully decorated boats parading along the Washington Channel.

As the boats promenaded past The Wharf, judges evaluated parade participants' theme, crew, decorations, and holiday spirit. Over a dozen boats received awards with cash prizes ranging from $100 to $1000 dollars. In total, participating boaters received a total of over $24,000 in prizes and swag.

The Wharf is proud to announce the following prize-winning boats and captains from the 2024 Holiday Boat Parade & Party:

Waterfront Wow: How Much is That Doggie in The Window – Captain Matt Martelli

Best Motorboat: Greased Lightning – Captain John Stevens

Best Sailboat: Christmas Angels – Captain Joe Caminiti

3rd Place: Beau’s Dog Park Christmas Carol – Captain Bob Rose

2nd Place: Safety First, Santa – Captain Linda Purdy

1st Place: WWElf Elf Wrestlemania – Captain David Hays

Showstopper Award: The Alien Abduction of Santa – Captain Melanie & Tim Locke
