A two-week effort to clean up the Potomac and the Washington Channel is finishing up just as spring begins. Trash, wood debris, and even 30-foot logs have been fished out of the water. “It was volunteers who stepped up for the clean-up,” says Monty Hoffman, one of the developers of The Wharf. And he says that needs to change.
