Each year, the District's Holiday Boat Parade is traditionally DC's kickoff to the holidays. Dozens of boaters deck their vessels with thousands of holiday lights and parade through the Washington Channel past The Wharf.

Due to the District's COVID-19 regulations, the 2020 Boat Parade is canceled. We are sad to miss this annual tradition, and we invite you to celebrate the season at The Wharf in new ways:

  • Bring the family for photos in front of our 45' Christmas Tree on District Pier covered in dazzling lights and decorations
  • Enjoy hot drinks and Holiday Movies around a private firepit on Transit Pier
  • Roast s'mores at the recently re-opened Camp Wharf firepit and Airstream trailer in District Square

Stay healthy and safe, and we look forward to celebrating the District's Holiday Boat Parade with you next year on December 4, 2021.
