Engaging in Community Outreach

The developers behind The Wharf have been committed to working with the larger community from the start. Throughout development and construction, Hoffman-Madison Waterfront (HMW) has engaged with neighbors and other stakeholders with regular meetings—and has either created or participated in several groups and committees to keep the channels of communication and conversation open.

The Development Advisory Group comprises leaders of key stakeholder organizations, public partners, and constituencies in the development. The Advisory Group provides essential input in the development process to assure that the full range of interests is taken into account.

The Community Construction Committee also meets regularly with neighboring buildings to discuss more immediate construction impacts as the project progresses. These meetings, which started in Phase 1, have continued into Phase 2. HMW has also engaged with the Community Benefits Coordinating Committee throughout Phase 1 and will continue to engage during Phase 2.
