The Wharf Announces Seven New Restaurants Opening in Phase 2
In January 2022, The Wharf announced a preliminary line-up of retail businesses and restaurants coming to Phase 2 of The Wharf, including Philippe Chow, Lucky Buns, Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls, Georgetown Optician, Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream, and more. Now, The Wharf is pleased to share seven additional restaurants opening in the second and final phase of the waterfront.
Collectively, these renowned brands—many of which are opening their first outpost in DC—demonstrate the regional drawing power of this dynamic waterfront neighborhood.
The restaurants joining The Wharf’s curated mix of merchants include:
Blank Street Coffee (808 SF, 605 Wharf St SW): A popular small-format coffee shop originally from NYC, to be located at the base of Amaris Condominium.
Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips (2,248 SF, 665 Wharf St SW): British-themed eatery offering elevated fish & chips by well-known chef Gordon Ramsay.
Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen (14,802 SF, 652 Wharf St SW): Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay's surf-and-turf restaurant, which pays tribute to his hit TV show, Hell’s Kitchen, brings a variety of steak and seafood offerings, including Chef Ramsay's Beef Wellington showpiece and lobster risotto.
Kinfolk Southern Kitchen (5,526 SF, 685 Wharf St SW): An Americana bourbon and barbecue restaurant featuring spirits and smoky flavors created by Eaternity-The Social Restaurant Group. Stay tuned for more info!
Limani (15,348 SF, 670 Wharf St SW): The first location outside of New York for the NYC-based Greek-Mediterranean restaurant offering a seafood-focused menu.
Milk & Honey (4,041 SF, 676 Maine Ave SW): New Orleans-style soul food restaurant featuring brunch and cocktails.
Slice of Matchbox (3,550 SF, 664 Maine Ave SW): Wood-fired pizza eatery bringing the very best of Matchbox Pizza into a fast-casual setting with table service and a full bar.
While construction of The Wharf's Phase 2 buildings will be completed in late 2022, this collection of shops and restaurants will open their doors on a rolling basis between Fall 2022 and Late Spring 2023. In total, the neighborhood will be home to more than 75 shops and restaurants—across 300,000 square feet of retail space.
This accretive mix of restaurants and retailers will open synchronously with new office tenants (Williams & Connolly, The Atlantic, and Freedom Forum), residences (The Amaris condominium and The Tides apartment homes), and The Pendry Hotel Washington DC-The Wharf, making The Wharf home to DC’s most acclaimed local and nationally-recognized chefs, distinctive hotels, and an unduplicated mix of businesses and residences.
