The Wharf lands a top D.C. law enforcement officer as head of security

Metropolitan Police Department Asst. Chief Diane Groomes, a 27-year veteran who for the last decade has served as head of the Patrol Services and School Safety Bureau, has been hired as The Wharf's director of security and public safety. She will retire from the MPD at the end of April.

The Wharf Is Getting a Live-Music Venue Dedicated to “Americana” Genres

The Pearl Street Warehouse, located on what’s planned to be the Wharf’s nightlife strip, will be a 300-capacity club dedicated to Americana styles including southern rock, country, blues, roots, and bluegrass.
