Hoffman-Madison Waterfront (HMW), the master developer of the $2.5 billion, world-class mixed use waterfront neighborhood The Wharf, along with the National Park Service (NPS) and the District’s Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), announce a $4 million investment in neighborhood connectivity for DC’s Southwest quadrant.

Cranes have dotted the D.C. skyline for months. And before the end of the year, the Wharf development along Washington's southwest waterfront will finally open. Businesses opening shop there are in the middle of a hiring spree.

The Wharf had a huge presence at a Career Fair on Thursday, August 10th at Arena Stage. More than 1,000 job seekers attended the free event to learn about employment opportunities.

The Wharf can now count Politics and Prose among the long list of distinguished D.C. businesses coming to the 2 million-square-foot waterfront development in Southwest D.C.

The promoter Seth Hurwitz has succeeded by creating high-quality venues and catering to artists’ needs. His latest undertaking is no exception.

With Hoffman-Madison Waterfront's countdown clock ticking toward an October opening, there are more than 1,500 workers busy building, finishing and otherwise ensuring that The Wharf is on track.

Madison Marquette makes its move official. The developer will move its corporate offices to The Wharf’s trophy office building at 1000 Maine Avenue SW, taking 26,000 square feet of space in 1000 Maine. It will share the space with its parent company, Capital Guidance.

Locals avoided the underutilized Southwest Waterfront for years, but that’ll change when the first phase of a $2 billion private development, The Wharf, opens this fall.
