CANCELED: Blessing of the Fleet

Boating season begins now! The Wharf has partnered with The Port of Washington Yacht Club and DC Brau to hold a “Blessing of the Fleet” viewing party and an after party at Cantina Bambina on Transit Pier. The viewing will be held at the Dockmaster Building, where boats will parade by and receive a blessing from local DC pastors.

The blessing, a ceremony that originated in European fishing communities, starts at 12pm and the after party starts at 2pm. Come out to witness this nautical tradition in person and to enjoy Cantina Bambina’s signature custard and some cold margaritas.

Want your boat blessed at the event? Register here, and don’t forget to get a transit slip from any of these marinas: The Wharf, Capital Yacht Club, Gangplank Marina, or The Washington Marina Company. Boats will line up at 11:30am.
