New tropical retro-themed eatery Fat Fish opens at The Wharf offering quick, custom poké bowls, sushi style rolls, and vegan ice cream with exotic flavors. As a purveyor of healthy food, environmental stewardship, and locally sourced products, Fat Fish is passionate about protecting the natural systems that sustain everyday life. Enjoy fresh-from-the-earth foods with a groovy twist from Fat Fish all year long.

The fresh-brewed tea shop, located at 49 District Square SW, offers traditional Taiwanese tea, bubble tea, rice wraps, and pastries. The grab-and-go style restaurant features milk-based teas like Brown Sugar Bubble Tea and Thai Tea, as well as fruit-based teas like Dragon Fruit Rose Black Tea and Passion Green Tea.

“MI-E DOR DE TINE," a traveling neon artwork which is currently on display at The Wharf, is a declaration of reunification dedicated to the one-in-four Romanains who currently reside outside Romanian borders.

Better Hospitality Group opens Boardwalk Board & Arcade at The Wharf. The family-friendly hangout spot offers over 30 arcade games, carnival-inspired food and drink, and a waterfront patio that can seat 70. Plus, they offer daily happy hour specials and pitcher options. Enjoy summer vibes at this beachy bar all year long.

Following more than a decade of planning and development, and four years of operation, The Wharf will be substantially completed by October 12, 2022—five years from the date The Wharf opened its first phase. The much-anticipated preliminary line-up of retail businesses and restaurants joining The Wharf include Philippe Chow, Lucky Buns, Bartaco, and more. 

Pendry Hotels & Resorts recently announced the appointment of Pascal Forotti as general manager of Pendry Washington D.C. – The Wharf, scheduled to open Fall 2022. Forotti joins the Pendry Hotels & Resorts family with more than 25 years of luxury hospitality experience having worked globally from the United States to Costa Rica, England, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, and Canada.

In his new role as General Manager, Forotti will oversee all aspects of hotel operations at Pendry's newest hotel, which features 131 guestrooms, including 34 suites, three signature dining and bar concepts, including a rooftop lounge with panoramic views, a state-of-the-art Spa Pendry, and 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
